Denholm Associates are delighted to be working once again with a trusted client in the Wolverhampton area in their search for an Internal Sales and Service Executive.
This is an international business that manufactures and sells built environment products into the manufacturing, distribution and retail sectors. The company is on an excellent growth trajectory and we have placed two sales candidates with them this year, having received great feedback from the candidates.
The role
- Generating leads, based on
- Input from Sales Account Managers and/or Marketing (warm acquisition),
- Own prospecting (cold acquisition),
- Regular actions on the existing customer base (warm acquisition).
- Mapping out opportunities and planning visits for colleague Sales Account Managers.
- Preparing correct and uniform quotations, in consultation with the sales responsible and those responsible/involved in adjacent departments (service – logistics). Initially you will focus on smaller projects (vs. bigger and/or more complex projects for Sales Account Manager).
- Closely cooperating with colleagues from Order Administration: you will transfer approved quotations for further processing into orders.
- Registrating prospect and customer data in the appropriate tools (CRM / ERP).
- Attending and contributing to the sales meetings.
- Support with site surveys and necessary record notes and take appropriate photographs. Contact appropriate person(s) to arrange site inspection.
- Assimilate information and take account of in tender pricing. Preparing correct and uniform quotations, in consultation with the sales responsible and those responsible/involved in adjacent departments (service – logistics).
- Assess individual rates and prices, amend, create new or insert from material and subcontract quotes.
- Re-assess build-ups taking account of all known conditions and requirements and adjust figures as necessary.
- Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work and accept, review, and analyse subcontractor quotes for best value
- Take responsibility for preconstruction correspondence with all involved parties, including bid invitations, requests for information, addenda, and scope of work clarifications.
- Prepare tender build-ups and arrange a meeting with the relevant Line Manager to adjudicate the price prior to tender submission. Explain the project, the basis of pricing and the names of any other information available.
- Carry out adjustments to the tender based on the discussions in the meeting and complete tender documentation for submission by the due date.
- Collate tender information and build-ups, and complete estimator’s written report section of the handover meeting Attend meetings; explain project and handover documentation and additional copies as necessary.
- Discuss the client’s requirements for a pre-tender meeting with the Sales Department and relevant Manager.
- Provide support to other estimators in pricing tenders and providing budget costing.
- Recording existing site conditions, etc. will require taking photographs and detailing a written account of the surveys for consideration when preparing and adjudicating each tender.
