We are working in Partnership with a Global Manufacturer, headquartered in Scotland looking to hire an experienced and dynamic Senior Financial Accountant. Based in Fife you will play a pivotal role within the finance team supporting the smooth operations of the International Finance Unit. Hybrid working is available with onsite parking.
You are a technically strong individual with previous experience of leading and mentoring others. Reporting into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the finance operation whilst overseeing reporting for finance lease revenues, overheads analysis and sales tax compliance as well as supporting on matters relating to a number of legal entities across the International region for statutory accounting, audit and tax compliance. Other duties include, overseeing VAT compliance, treasury reporting, monthly revenue preparation, overseeing commission calculations, month-end analysis, patent box reporting and production of reporting packages. You are a strong communicator who can build excellent internal and external stakeholder relationships. You will have responsibility for leading a small team overseeing Accounts Payable and General Ledger, where you will ensure all financial compliance and control measures are delivered and met, resolving issues as they arise. As part of the role, you will support the delivery of ad hoc projects and add improvements to both processes and procedures to improve controls. You will also hold responsibility for various reconciliations to ensure the controls environment operates effectively.
You will be a fully qualified finance professional who holds a professional accounting qualification including CIMA, ACCA, ICAS or equivalent. You have experience of working within a corporate environment with knowledge and understanding of UK and International accounting standards. You are an effective communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and team members. You are a self-starter who can use your own initiative to deliver and achieve objectives. You will ideally have prior experience of leading and mentoring others. Prior Statutory Accounts and Corporate Tax knowledge and experience is essential. Experience of Dynamics is advantageous.
