Graphic Designer - Edinburgh




A small but very busy marketing team, within the manufacturing sector, in Edinburgh is looking to add an experienced Graphic Designer.

As Graphic Designer, you'll support the growth and expansion of the business by creating first-class designs, for both on and offline consumption. In this role, your remit will be split equally between offline print production, and online digital design. As such, you should have demonstrable experience in both. Your duties will include:

  • Creating artwork (online and offline) for all departments
  • Acting as the guard of brand identity; leading on brand development
  • Producing creating visuals on a day-to-day basis
  • Creating designs, concepts and sample layouts for print collateral
  • Liaising with interior designers, printers, CGI experts photographers and videographers to create stunning catalogues and interesting web content
  • Assisting with the coordination of photo and video shoots in support of case studies, web galleries, magazine articles or other marketing collateral
  • Producing technical diagrams, plans and drawings for publishing in magazine or trade booklets
  • Build and edit bespoke email newsletters
  • Creating PoS materials and display advertising for trade shows and events
  • Preparing photography for online and offline use

To be successful in the role you should:

  • Have 2+ years of design experience - both online and offline
  • Ideally have at least 1 year of experience working on catalogues or other B2B sales materials, showcasing products
  • Be experienced in using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Have confidence using drawing programs such as AutoCAD and Sketch-Up
  • Be able to work flexibly and enthusiastically
  • Be willing to work on numerous projects concurrently
  • (Experience using Lightroom, Premiere Pro and coding in HTML/CSS is advantageous)
