Castle Kennedy Gardens is a horticultural visitor attraction of national importance that draws close to 20,000 visitors a year.  It is home to a world class collection of rhododendrons and plants, and is surrounded by two fresh water lochs, which provide an important breeding ground for wild fowl.

Stair Estates is searching for a new Marketing and Event Manager to join their small team who shares the same empathy and active interest in conservation and visitor heritage management.

The Events & Digital Marketing Manager, to be based on site, will steer the marketing strategy through a period of growth for the business. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has worked within tourism, leisure or hospitality and has a real passion for heritage sites. You will have a good grounding in both events management and also hands on digital marketing management. Working with the Senior Management Team the successful candidate will bring ideas and solutions that support the growth of this business. 

Accommodation will be offered on site as part of a relocation package, and flexible working options will be offered to accommodate candidates’ requirements and circumstances.

The key objectives in the first 12 – 18 months will be to work on the new website (alongside agency), develop a full marketing and digital strategy as well as the social media management.  You will be also be responsible for organising events (weddings and other seasonal events) and maximising PR opportunities nationally and within the local area.

This role would be well suited to someone who has experience in marketing, advertising or events and is looking for an opportunity to take the reins and introduce new and innovative marketing solutions to build their brand.

Currently the team are working on adding an outdoor play facility. This will be a key visitor attraction in the local area, and the new marketing professional will be involved in getting this project off the ground.
