Denholm is working with a fast growing global manufacturing business headquartered in the US, which has developed its UK and European presence over the last 8-10 years to a £10 million plus turnover business unit. Based in North Lanarkshire, and with additional sites in England and Europe, this role is a new addition to the structure and will work closely with the UK Managing Director as well as manage a small team.
Reporting to the UK and Europe Region MD, you will take responsibility for a small team that is expected to grow as they continue the development of the business. The role will be wide ranging, and requires a pro-active, hands-on approach which will be balanced with the capability to contribute to strategic discussions and decision making. Essential skills that the role requires will be the co-ordination and production of the annual phased budget for the year and monthly period reporting including balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow. In addition, you will manage the balance sheet including key reconciliations and cut-off procedures, together with robust control over stock balances. You will manage a small team as well as external relationships with key partners like the company auditors. You will bring a confident approach as you will be presenting financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients.
We are looking for a fully qualified accountant, who will have experience of managing a P&L and balance sheet and must be able to put controls in place to ensure accurate monthly reporting of the financial statements. You will bring a flexible approach, and relish the opportunity to input across the business in a wide range of areas. As such, you must be comfortable building relationships at all levels including the board as well as with external partners.
