Denholm is excited to be partnering with a Financial services organisation who are based in the North of England and Scotland and whose values are at the heart of everything they do. They are currently recruiting for a Qualified Accountant to join the team as Financial Controller, where you will have the opportunity to work across multiple projects and support on transformational change as a business partner. You will work within an established team, where you will be able to progress your career internally and take advantage of an attractive benefits package and remote/flexible working.
You are a technically strong individual who is commercially aware and who will make a strong impact across the business. You will work across a variety of projects and be a key support to the Finance Director, where you will be responsible for ensuring accounting records are maintained and all compliance controls and procedures are met in a cost-effective manner. Other responsibilities will include the preparation of management information, developing and implementing financial controls processes and reporting of all project initiatives, looking at process improvement. You will build effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including being a key point of contact for the project managers, ensuring all projects are reviewed monthly.
You will be a fully qualified finance professional and bring a solid background or working knowledge of the financial services industry, where you will be fully experienced in both financial control and accounting. As a key member of an established team, you will be a self-starter and bring good communication skills as you will need to build strong relationships across the business with Senior Stakeholders and be a support to both IT and Project Managers. You must have good working knowledge of FRS02 and experience of leading and supporting projects.
