We are delighted to be working with Stair Estates on their search for a new Marketing and Event Manager to join their small team who shares the same empathy and active interest in conservation and visitor heritage management. We’re looking for a self-starter who influences change through excellent communication, and by working well with others. You’ll set the standard as an assertive, organised, motivated, and experienced professional with the will and skills to achieve your goals.
This key and unique role will ideally be based on site at Stair Estates where accommodation will be offered as part of a relocation package. Flexible working options will be considered to accommodate candidates’ requirements and circumstances.
With a key objective to develop and deliver the annual marketing strategy for Castle Kennedy Gardens, this role will include a full website relaunch in conjunction with their partner agency, developing their digital strategy, as well as social media management across all key platforms. The successful candidate will also be responsible for organising events and maximising PR opportunities across Scotland, and within the local area, and be a key representative of the estate. We’re looking for candidates with good business and marketing skills, and first-class attention to detail and writing skills as content creation will be a key part of your role. Being able to spot opportunities for growth is also essential, as well as the ability to build relationships, both internally and externally, with the local community including Dumfries & Galloway Council, Visit Scotland, and Historic Scotland, to name but a few. Ensuring the brand and visitor experience is maximised and surpasses all expectations, will also require the successful candidate to liaise with Visitor Services, as well as the Factor.
This hugely exciting opportunity is well suited to an individual with demonstrable experience in digital marketing including content creation and social media management, who is looking for more autonomy and is brilliant at spotting ideas! Ideally, we’re looking for candidates from either a tourism, leisure, hospitality, or events background and with a real passion for heritage sites. Working with the Senior Management team, the successful candidate will bring ideas and solutions that support the growth of this business and be a collaborative member of the team. Already a key tourist destination, the team is currently working on adding an outdoor play facility, highlighting their ambitious plans for sustainable growth, and adding value back to the local economy. This is a role that requires strategic input, as well as a hands-on approach so if love producing ideas, as well as getting stuck in and enjoy variety, then this is the role for you. This is a tremendous chance to get involved in a small team and be exposed to many elements of running a successful business.
This beautiful rural area has a strong tight knit community with wonderful facilities and schools. If you think this sounds like you, then please get in touch for an initial chat.
