In this role you will be required to define and deliver the ecommerce strategy to profitably grow online sales for Walker’s Shortbread, whilst improving internal operational efficiency and cross-functional working.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Full P&L accountability for the ecommerce channel including the B2C website, trade website, and online retailers – forecasting and delivery of budget revenue target
- Define and implement ecommerce channel strategy
- Work closely with cross functional teams in marketing, despatch and operations to improve current operational efficiency and improve profitability
- Identify wider global opportunities and customers and manage read across within the channel as well as with the wider business
- Improve trade website and increase trade customers and route to market
- Work with marketing to deliver improvements to packaging and customer experience, whilst considering profitability
- Work with cross functional partners to establish stock holding system and monthly process
- Line management of dedicated ecommerce fulfilment team
Key skills and experience we are looking for:
- Graduate calibre with five years’ experience in similar role
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particularly Excel
- High level of numeracy and analytical skills – comfortable with managing full P&L
- Proactive, takes initiative, looks for solutions and solves problems
- High standard of verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with reporting and process management and a drive to improve existing protocol
- Works well as part of a team, offers support and works to improve the culture of the team and business
