The market is hard. The rejections are real. And when you're in it, it's easy to feel like the power sits somewhere outside of you. Like someone else holds the answer to what happens next.

Stop job searching & start designing.

This event is about the part of your career that’s still yours to shape, even when the market feels uncertain, exhausting, or out of your control.

Through honest conversation, shared experience and practical coaching tools, Sandy Callander will help attendees move beyond job titles, CVs and rejection cycles to get clearer on what they actually do, how they create impact, and why that matters.

Together, the session will explore what happens when you stop waiting for a role or a company to define you, and start understanding what genuinely excites you, where you thrive, and what kind of work you want to build your next move around.

Drawing on experience from both sides of redundancy and both sides of the hiring table, Sandy will guide attendees through the process of identifying the strengths, patterns and motivations that often get lost during job searching.

Attendees will leave with a sharper understanding of the value they bring, greater confidence in how to talk about themselves and their work, and practical tools to help shape their next step with more clarity, intention and ownership.

Sandy Callander is a People Director, Advanced Coach Practitioner and founder of Callander & Co. Her coaching practice spans individuals and teams, from graduates to senior leaders. Her own career proves you don't have to follow a straight line: casting director, recruiter, coach, People Lead at one of the UK's leading creative agencies, and now founder. She has been on both sides of redundancy and both sides of the hiring table, and has spent her career having honest conversations with people about what they've done, what they want to do next, and how to get there.
