What keeps us awake at night?

Keeping the heart of Corrie beating.

For more than 175 years, The Corrie Hotel has brought people together. We want to build on that tradition, creating a place where locals feel at home, visitors experience the best of Arran and our team takes pride in being part of something special.

A welcoming, thriving hotel that continues to play a meaningful role in village life.

We don’t preach. We practise.

Good hospitality starts with how you treat people. We believe in fairness, generosity and looking after one another. That means recognising everyone's contribution, treating people with respect and creating an atmosphere where warmth and good company come naturally.

We care about the details, from the welcome at the door to the quality of what's on the plate. We value honest relationships, a willingness to muck in and the individuality that makes a place memorable.

Build your muscles. Then flex them.

Working in a small, hands-on hotel brings opportunities to develop a broad range of hospitality skills. From getting to know our regulars and welcoming visitors to understanding the stories behind our food and drink, there's plenty to discover.

We want people who are curious, willing to learn and take pride in doing things well. People who enjoy working together and bringing their own ideas and energy to the experience we create.

What’s in it for you?

Everyone who works at The Corrie Hotel receives a share of the business's profits, with all tips and service charges distributed equally across the team.

It's a straightforward reflection of how we believe a business should work: when everyone contributes to its success, everyone deserves to benefit.

And with the sea on our doorstep and the mountains rising behind the village, it's a remarkable place to spend your working day.

FAQs

A little hotel with a big place in island life.

Join a close-knit team where genuine hospitality, great local food and a shared sense of purpose make every day a little different.

There's something rewarding about working in a place where you can see the impact of what you do. Whether it's finding a better way of doing something, bringing a new idea to the table or creating a memorable moment for a guest, individual initiative can make a real difference.

With owners who are closely involved in the day-to-day running of the hotel, there's an opportunity to contribute to its continued evolution and help shape what comes next.

Being part of Corrie comes with a responsibility to look after the place and the people who make it special.

We give more than a quarter of our annual profits to island charities, including Arran Mountain Rescue and the Isle of Arran Music School. We also champion local producers, from sixth-generation Bellevue Farm and Wild Isle Venison to Arran Dairies, Lewis Kennedy Shellfish and the island's independent makers.

These relationships help sustain the businesses, traditions and community that give Arran its character.

Plus, we love dogs. Dogs are welcome in all areas of the hotel, we have our own special dog menu, and they eat free during our Sunday roast.

Equal = equal

Everyone deserves to feel welcome.

We want The Corrie Hotel to be a place where people are treated fairly, with kindness and respect. Where different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives are valued, and where everyone has the opportunity to contribute.

We believe the same care we put into welcoming our guests should be reflected in how we welcome and support our people.
