Industry
World-class live events & Scottish heritage charity
Founded
1950 (first Tattoo; inspired by a 1949 performance)

Scotland's most iconic annual event

Not-for-profit, proudly charitable

Global cast, world-class production

75 years of selling out every show

Our story began over seven decades ago...

It was inspired by a simple show called ‘Something About a Soldier’ performed in 1949 at the Ross Bandstand. Today, our vision is to be the world’s greatest immersive event(s) and every day we strive to produce atmospheric spectaculars that enrich lives through creativity, connection, and contribution.

There are lots of exciting plans to celebrating our 75th anniversary in 2025, making it the perfect year to join the business.
