What keeps us awake at night?

As the UK home of La Martiniquaise Bardinet, one of the world's leading independent wine and spirits groups, we're responsible for balancing global scale and entrepreneurial spirit.

Founded by Jean Cayard and still family-owned today, the global business employs more than 3,700 people across 180 countries, with 50 production sites and in-market companies spanning France, the UK, Benelux, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

In the UK, that includes Glen Moray Distillery in Elgin and the Glen Turner headquarters in Bathgate, supporting an award-winning portfolio of brands including Glen Moray, Warner’s, Bardinet, Cutty Sark, Marie Brizard, Sobieski and Villa Cardea.

The ambition is real. We've grown through new markets, acquired brands and expanded production for decades. The challenge now is ensuring our growth never comes at the expense of the craftsmanship, passion and independence that built the business.

We don’t preach. We practise.

Independence. We are an independent, family-run Group, and a key player in the wine and spirits industry, distinguished by its complete control over the production process and the sale of its products, thanks to the development of close commercial relationships with its international partners.

Responsibility. Responsible consumption and sustainable development as a mission. We promote responsible drinking and prevention. For us it is intrinsically linked to our passion for W&S with the desire to value expertise, craftsmanship and cultural heritage.

Protecting the environment is our top priority. With a strong commitment in all our key production sites through saving energy and water resources, reducing waste & transport, recycling & even producing renewable energy.

Expertise & Passion. We continue the legacy of our founder Jean Cayard, a passionate entrepreneur, and a real game changer in our industry. Our entrepreneurial spirit encourages us to think out of the box while looking to the future with a challenging spirit.

We are first and foremost producers bringing together more than 30 state-of-the-art production sites located at the heart of the production regions.

Listening & Agility. Listening to consumers, customers and partners is at the heart of our business model. We are an agile and responsive company, always looking for tomorrow’s trends.

Inclusivity. To be open-minded, to integrate different backgrounds and cultures and address to all. We believe in diversity. We are open to the world & outward looking.

Build your muscles. Then flex them.

Our growth has been sustained by the people behind it. The Group's expanding portfolio, built through brand development and a consistent programme of acquisitions, creates genuine progression across the wider business.

When the business grows, there's somewhere for ambition to go.

We run a deliberately decentralised organisation, which means individuals carry real responsibility early. You won't be waiting for permission to contribute. We actively encourage pro-activeness, back people with an entrepreneurial mindset, and make sure every member of the team feels at the centre of the business.

FAQs

Ninety years ago, one Frenchman with a passion for rum started selling wine and spirits out of Paris. That business is now a €1.4 billion group with five millionaire brands, distilleries in Scotland, estates in Martinique and partners in 110 countries. Still family-owned. Still independent. Still hungry.

The Group has grown every decade since 1934. Through recessions, supply chain crises and a global pandemic. It hasn't stopped acquiring, expanding or backing new ideas. A decentralised structure means you won't spend years waiting for a sign-off before you can do anything meaningful.

Yes they do. This is a family business, not a corporate machine. Decisions get made by people who have been in the industry for decades and care deeply about what they're building. The structure is flat enough that your work is visible, your voice carries and your ideas can actually go somewhere.

Equal = equal
