Our client is a growing people consultancy advising some of Scotland's most ambitious businesses. A run of new client wins has created this role in their Edinburgh team, with full-time or four-day working available.

How you'll make your mark
Key deliverables
- Give clients commercial, practical advice on day-to-day HR and employment issues they can act on straight away.
- Review each client's HR set-up and implement the changes, tools and processes that help them grow.
- Guide management teams on applying HR policy, and support them to recruit, train and manage new hires.
- Act as first point of contact for line managers, mentoring them through queries and building their confidence.
- Help clients build inclusive, values-led workplaces people want to stay in.
- Source and introduce cost-effective HR tools that simplify how clients work.
- Represent the business at external events and contribute to winning new work.
What you bring
- At least two years' hands-on HR and employee relations experience, with working knowledge of employment law.
- The ability to turn complex legislation into clear, jargon-free advice.
- Sharp questioning skills that get to the real issue quickly.
- A flexible, consultative approach to solving problems for different businesses.
- Sound judgement and complete discretion with confidential matters.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail across a varied client load.
- CIPD qualification, or the appetite to work towards it.
- A full driving licence and your own car, as you'll regularly travel to client sites and offices.
