The Director of Digital Commerce is a newly created role reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the UK Executive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of the new ‘Centre of Excellence’, transforming the organisation’s digital commerce capability and accelerating growth within the UK channel, whilst also playing a strategic function within the senior digital commerce teams of global shareholders – Edrington and Beam Suntory.
This fantastic role has both strategic and operational responsibility for the growth of the exceptional brand portfolio in the digital commerce channel and broader digital space across the UK, working in partnership with key functions to deliver brand P&Ls and equity goals. Leading a newly created team, you will be responsible for recruiting and retaining a ‘best-in-class’ digital commerce function to help Edrington-Beam Suntory UK achieve its ambitions. Developing and embedding the UK digital commerce strategy and being an ambassador for digital commerce internally will be an essential part of your remit, including establishing a digital leadership team.
What does it take to be successful in this role? We are looking for candidates who possess excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, bringing high levels of curiosity and agility, with the ability to work collaboratively to deliver results. Strong commercial acumen is imperative, and current knowledge of the UK market, as well as the ability to translate that to working with international/global teams. Complex stakeholder management skills are key, and it is vital that you can demonstrate your ability to build key relationships and influence at all levels.
