Orbit Communications are looking for an Account Director or Senior Account Manager to join their Edinburgh team and play a central role across client leadership, team management and business growth.
This is a hands-on senior role within one of Scotland's best-established communications agencies, working across PR, public affairs, stakeholder engagement and integrated communications campaigns.
How you'll make your mark
You'll take ownership of a portfolio of client accounts, acting as a strategic advisor while ensuring delivery stays sharp, commercial and effective.
The role combines client leadership, team oversight and business development, giving you the chance to influence work across the agency.
You'll be trusted to:
- Build strong client relationships and shape account strategies around wider communications objectives.
- Coordinate input across the team, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget and to a consistently high standard.
- Provide structured communications and public affairs advice to clients across a range of sectors.
- Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement and media strategies that support client goals.
- Build productive relationships with journalists, political stakeholders and external partners.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the Scottish Parliament and Local Authorities, understanding how to engage effectively within those environments.
- Support and mentor junior team members while contributing to the wider management of the agency.
- Play a leading role in new business activity, pitches and growth opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional services including digital and design support.
You'll bring strong agency experience alongside a proven background in PR, public affairs and stakeholder engagement. You'll have the confidence to manage senior client relationships and provide clear strategic counsel.

The team work from Orbit's Charlotte Square office three days a week, with home working for the remainder. Flexible working patterns can also be discussed.
