Denholm Associates

Business Development Executive

Job Ref: 11119

The opportunity you've been waiting for

Scotwork has spent 50 years teaching senior leaders how to negotiate. Hundreds of thousands of them, in 30 languages, across 120 countries. Ireland is where the next stage of growth sits, and this newly created role is how it gets built.

You'll be Scotwork's dedicated business developer on the ground in Ireland. The pipeline is yours to shape and the sectors are yours to open up. You'll work independently, with an established team behind you.

Get it right, and the role grows with the business.

How you'll make your mark

Scotwork's programmes make their own case once the right people are in the room. Your job is to get them there.

Key deliverables

  • Build a new business pipeline across a range of Irish sectors, turning research, networking, referrals and outbound prospecting into qualified opportunities.
  • Convert inbound interest from Scotwork's website and marketing campaigns into real conversations and booked programmes.
  • Open doors with senior stakeholders in organisations Scotwork has yet to work with, and develop those relationships into revenue.
  • Track market trends and spot where demand for negotiation skills is rising.
  • Partner with internal teams on data-led outreach, from proactive campaigns to re-engaging lapsed clients.
  • Keep CRM records accurate and give management a clear, regular view of pipeline and progress.
  • Deliver against agreed quarterly sales targets.

What you bring

  • A track record in business development or sales, ideally selling services.
  • Evidence of generating leads and converting them into clients.
  • The presence to hold a confident, credible conversation with senior decision-makers.
  • Sharp commercial acumen and a clear grasp of how organisations buy.
  • A habit of building relationships that last well beyond the first meeting.
  • Experience with CRM and sales tools. Salesforce and LinkedIn are a bonus.

What's in it for you

  • Competitive salary, plus a bonus scheme that rewards success generously.
  • A newly created role with genuine room to grow as the Irish proposition expands.
  • A capable support team behind you from day one.
  • 28 days' annual leave plus public holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Private medical and life insurance.
  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (35 hours), based in [location], Ireland. [Working model].

A bit more about Scotwork

Scotwork is the world's number one independent negotiation consultancy. Fifty offices, 120 countries, and clients of every size and sector.

Its work is practical. People leave with skills they use the following week and keep using for the rest of their careers. Businesses see it in better deals.

Scotwork already has clients in Ireland. This role exists to build on that foundation with focused, local business development.

Denholm's take

Selling negotiation training to senior leaders takes a certain kind of person. You need to be credible in the room and comfortable being tested. These clients are, after all, learning to negotiate.

What makes this one stand out is the combination. The independence of a standalone role, the backing of a 50-year global brand, and a bonus scheme built to reward results.

If you've been growing someone else's territory and want to build one of your own, let's talk. Get in touch for a confidential conversation.
