Head of Change
Denholm is delighted to be partnering with our financial services client in their search for a Head of Change. This is a pivotal leadership role with accountability for the entire enterprise change portfolio, spanning regulatory, strategic and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll work at the executive level to translate strategy into deliverable outcomes, while leading a large, multi-disciplinary change function.
This role requires someone who has an air of calmness and who has excellent troubleshooting skills (helicopter view) and an attention to detail. You will have the ability to make pragmatic decisions while prioritising what is important. Exceptional stakeholder management skills should be 2nd nature, with the ability to be highly credible to senior stakeholders (board level) and Programme/Project Managers.
This is a hybrid role with the need to be onsite 4-5 days per month.
The role:
- Lead, govern and deliver the organisation’s full portfolio of change initiatives
- Inspire and develop a department of 70+ colleagues, including PM, BA, PMO, change finance, resource management and first-line change risk
- Act as the central control point for change delivery, governance and risk
- Partner closely with the Executive Team to shape priorities and drive execution
- Oversee the Transformation Management Office (TMO) and first-line transformation risk assurance
- Own portfolio-level financial control, forecasting and resource management
What we’re looking for:
- Proven senior leadership experience delivering large-scale change within financial services
- Deep expertise in programme and portfolio management, governance and Agile delivery
- Strong track record delivering technology-enabled change, including on-prem and cloud programmes
- Experience managing £10m+ change budgets and complex matrix teams
- Credible operating at the Executive level, with outstanding communication and influencing skills
- Experience setting up and running a PMO/TMO and overseeing first-line change risk
