Nicki Denholm

Chief Executive Officer

Nicki came into recruitment from a career in marketing and brand management and from this experience became a pioneer of sales and marketing recruitment in Scotland. A passionate advocate of “doing recruitment differently”, she ensures that Denholm applies modern marketing principles to the recruitment process across all industries and sectors. In addition, she has widened Denholm’s scope into outplacement, career transition advice, and is currently CEO of the Denholm Group.

Marisa Carroll

Managing Director

Marisa helped establish Denholm in 2002, and throughout the years has developed an enviable network and unrivalled knowledge of the Scottish and UK marketplace. Whilst Marisa has experience of recruiting into many industries, she has particular expertise in FMCG, where she has filled many business critical roles for some of the UK’s biggest brands.

John Denholm

Non-Exec Chairman

John co-founded the Leith Agency, which grew to become Scotland’s leading advertising and communications agency. After the agency became part of the Cello Group, John joined Denholm Associates as non-exec Chairman. He has been a member of the Scottish Arts Council, Chair of Creative Edinburgh and was given a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2007 Scottish Advertising Awards. He is currently a Fellow of the Marketing Society in Scotland.

Douglas Cross

Director

Douglas has been part of the Denholm team for over a decade and has a track record of success working across marketing, sales, operations and finance recruitment. With over 20 years of recruitment experience he is known for the excellent level of service he provides both clients and candidates, and was instrumental in the growth of our Navigator platform – providing support to individuals looking to change career path.

Fiona Todd

Commercial & Operations Director
With over a decade of international recruitment experience, Fiona’s over-arching purpose is to achieve the commercial growth objectives of Denholm by ensuring that all internal systems and processes are robust, and that staff are well-equipped (in terms of technology and training) to succeed. In addition to recruiting for particularly senior or complex positions throughout the UK, her remit centres on client service and satisfaction; training, learning and development; and business and process improvement. 

Jackie Anderson

Head of Agency

Having worked in the media and advertising industry for over a decade prior to joining Denholm, Jackie knows the market exceptionally well. She’s known across the marketing industry, and has a track record of building solid relationships with her clients – working to really understand their business needs and objectives. Jackie specialises in both agency and creative roles – covering account management, planning and strategy, digital marketing and traffic management throughout the UK.

Jonathan Watt

Client Relationship Director

A former elite amatuer golfer, Jonathan joined Denholm as an experienced international recruitment specialist. Within the team, he’s our leading expert within the Financial Services, Sports & Leisure and Energy & Renewables sectors, and works on commercial positions covering product and proposition, sales, digital marketing, data and communications. Jonathan is known for his depth of knowledge within these areas, and for the quality of service he provides both candidates and clients.

Steph Buckley

Client Relationship Director

Steph joined Denholm in 2013 where, as a key part of the FMCG team, she brings a passion and unrivaled knowledge of the sector. Steph works exclusively with an impressive range of branded businesses and adds a real commercial understanding to any job brief. As well as working across both sales and marketing projects, she offers a strong focus on brand, channel and category management in both domestic and international markets.

Steph Halliday

Originally training in Executive Search in 2005, Steph applies a robust selection process to every role she works on. Throughout her career, Steph has partnered with small owner-managed businesses through to international blue-chips and works closely with her clients to understand exactly what they need. The relationships she builds allow her to create truly bespoke recruitment solutions, and she puts her client and candidate relationships at the heart of all her delivery. At Denholm, Steph drives growth across Professional Services, Manufacturing, Construction & Engineering, Health & Life Sciences, and Hospitality.

Amanda Kho

Client Relationship Partner

Since 2015, Amanda’s energetic and warm approach to recruitment has built valuable client relationships within Retail, Not-for-profit and Public Sector organisations. Leading on recruitment within these industries for Denholm, Amanda’s sales and marketing expertise has allowed her to develop deep and sincere partnerships with businesses throughout the UK and truly understand their business needs. With a smile on her face and a genuine aptitude for connecting with people, Amanda’s ability to deliver first-class service to her clients and candidates is inspiring.

Gareth Glen

Principal Consultant

Prior to joining Denholm in 2019, Gareth was professional actor for 15 years and brings great presentation and communication skills to his role. His focus with Denholm is to facilitate growth within the booming technology sector and he works on a variety of positions including sales, marketing, operations, software development and data management. Gareth’s success has been built on trust, hard work and a passion for the sector in which he operates.

Kerry McFarlane

Principal Consultant

Kerry has worked in the recruitment industry for over 10 years and has built up a great network in Scotland with professional services business, as well as construction and engineering firms. Kerry’s clients describe her as a knowledgeable business partner who delivers the best talent; and candidates come to her when they want representation in a saturated market. Her consultative approach and drive to identify and engage the best candidates ensures her clients win the battle for talent in a competitive market.

Paul McKernan

Senior Consultant

With an impressive track record, Paul has worked in the UK and International recruitment market for over a decade. He is known for his ability to align talent strategies to his clients’ business objectives and values. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Head of Whisky will create and drive a comprehensive and strategic brand plan including positioning, range architecture and pricing strategy to allow delivery of the business growth ambitions. You will have a background of working with premium spirits and be confident in launching NPD and range extensions across the global marketplace, ensuring alignment to the brand values through promotional toolkits. In addition to a background in brand-building, with the consumer at the heart of global activations, you will have experience of leading brand communications across all platforms including digital, sponsorship, PR and Events.

The Loch Lomond Group are seeking a commercially-savvy Sponsorship and Events Manager to join the marketing team.

You will be responsible for developing Loch Lomond Group's sponsorship and events strategy and delivering a program of activities and partnerships that will support the business growth ambitions.
