Nicki Denholm came into recruitment from a career in marketing and brand management and from this experience became a pioneer of specialist sales and marketing recruitment in Scotland. Now a passionate advocate of “doing recruitment differently” she ensures that Denholm applies modern marketing principles to the recruitment process. She has also widened Denholm’s scope into outplacement, career transition advice and recruitment franchising, and is currently CEO of the Denholm Group.
Marisa Carroll helped establish Denholm in 2002. She has developed an enviable network and unrivalled knowledge of the Scottish/UK marketplace. Whilst Marisa has experience of recruiting into many industries, she has particular expertise in FMCG, where she has filled many business critical roles for some of the UK’s biggest brands.
John co-founded the Leith Agency, which grew to become Scotland’s leading advertising and communications agency. After the agency became part of the Cello Group, John joined Denholm Associates as non-exec Chairman. He has been a member of the Scottish Arts Council, Chair of Creative Edinburgh, Chair of the joint Marketing Committee of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 and was given a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2007 Scottish Advertising Awards. He is currently a Fellow of the Marketing Society in Scotland.
With over 18 years’ experience, Douglas developed his career in the Food and Drink Sector and now works on assignments across a wide range of business sectors including Professional Services, National Media, Manufacturing and Technology. He is responsible for the management and growth of Denholm Executive Search and has built an excellent record of long-term business relationships with clients and candidates alike. Typical assignments from range from Head of and Director level through to Chief Executive.
Fiona started her recruitment career working internationally in Europe and North America. Since returning home in 2013, she has built an impressive reputation and leads a team of sector specialists based in Glasgow. Her personal recruitment focus is on senior appointments within commercial departments for business across public and private sectors. Fiona is proudly known for the service she gives to both clients and candidates – resulting in long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
Ciaran has recruited across a wide range of industries in Scotland since 1998. Over the years, he’s been responsible for engaging, winning and delivering talent for a diverse client base, from large multi-nationals to smaller startups and scaling organisations. Ciaran has not only been accountable for delivery but has motivated and managed his own team to acquire scarce, highly-skilled talent. Through effective management and a hands-on approach, Ciaran joins Denholm to ensure our team continues to provide a highly consultative and quality-driven service.
Jackie worked in the media and advertising industry for 13 years before joining Denholm. Jackie knows the marketplace inside out and enjoys building solid relationships with her clients, really getting under the skin of her clients’ business needs and objectives. Jackie specialises in all agency roles including account management, planning and strategy, digital marketing, CRM and traffic and production roles across digital, integrated, advertising, creative and design agencies.
Arnie has recruited senior professionals across a variety of sectors since 2001, using his reputation of open honesty to best leverage his connections. Unafraid to ask difficult questions he has made a career of finding answers to challenging employment problems that many avoid. Inspiring confidence in execs for such a long time, we are delighted to have his brand of consulting here at Denholm. After graduating from the University of Stirling in Sports Science, Jonathan played elite amateur golf for two and a half years before moving to Edinburgh. Jonathan is an experienced recruitment specialist with a successful track record of recruiting for companies in the UK, Europe, Middle East & Asia. In recent years at Denholm he has become a leading expert in marketing recruitment for the Financial Services and Fintech industry in Scotland.
Gareth joined Denholm after a very successful spell with a global technology recruitment firm. Prior to this he was a professional actor for 15 years and brings a wealth of people, presentation and communication skills to his role. His focus with Denholm is in sourcing the highest calibre sales and marketing talent to drive Scotland’s booming technology sector.
Kerry started her career in recruitment in 2009. She joins Denholm with 10 years’ experience across all sectors, latterly specialising in Scotland’s Professional Services industry. Kerry’s clients describe her as a knowledgeable business partner who delivers the best talent, and candidates come to her first when they want representation in a saturated market. Her consultative approach and drive to identify and engage the best candidates, ensures her clients win the battle for talent in a competitive market.
Steph joined Denholm in 2013 where, as a key part of the FMCG team, she brings a passion and thorough knowledge of the sector. Steph works exclusively with an impressive range of branded businesses and adds a real commercial understanding to any job brief. As well as working across both Sales and Marketing projects, she offers a strong focus on brand, channel and category management in both domestic and international markets.
Paul has nearly ten years UK and international sales search & selection experience and has worked on an exclusive and retained basis with blue chip companies throughout Europe, Middle East, Africa, the Americas and Asia. He specialises in mid-senior level sales recruitment search projects and works in partnership with some of the world’s great FMCG brands to identify and hire the very best talent.
Amanda has worked with impressive companies from a variety of sectors including manufacturing, not-for-profit, scientific and financial services. Amanda’s flair for building transparent relationships with both clients and candidates means she is often called upon to work on niche roles. She prides herself on her ability to work quickly, efficiently and delivers excellent service throughout.
After graduating from City of Glasgow College in Advertising and PR, Agata worked in Marketing for AIC. She started her career in recruitment with NetTalent, before joining Denholm’s FMCG team. Agata is now supporting the growth of the Scottish Gin industry by working with the new generation of FMCG talent.
Since 2016, Jennifer has delivered both permanent and interim recruitment solutions into the Financial Services sector across Business Change & IT. With increasing activity in the Scottish Financial Services market and Denholm’s increasing reach across the UK, Jennifer was brought in to add Marketing to her Change and IT portfolio. Her approach to recruitment is based on building and maintaining high-quality relationships through delivering honest and transparent advice.
