Denholm is delighted to be partnering with our financial services client to recruit an experienced PMO Manager to join their Change Management Office on a permanent basis.
This role is a remote working position with the need to be in the head office 1-2 days per month.
This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the Portfolio Management Office and ensuring the successful governance and delivery of a busy change portfolio, with around 15 projects running concurrently across IT, regulatory, and business change initiatives.
The successful candidate will combine strong people leadership with exceptional stakeholder engagement, confidently operating at both project delivery and C-suite levels to ensure change is delivered effectively across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the PMO function and PMO Analysts, fostering a high-performance culture
- Maintaining and enhancing PMO frameworks, governance, and delivery standards
- Providing portfolio oversight, assurance, and quality control across multiple projects
- Producing portfolio reporting and board-level MI to support governance and decision-making
- Supporting project prioritisation, financial oversight, and strategic alignment
- Acting as a key bridge between project teams, senior leadership, and executive stakeholders
Key experience required:
- Proven PMO leadership experience within a complex change environment
- Strong people management and stakeholder engagement skills, including C-suite interaction
- Experience delivering IT, regulatory, and business change programmes within financial services
- Strong knowledge of project governance frameworks and delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
- Experience managing portfolio, programme, and project lifecycles
- Strong commercial awareness and experience working with PPM tools and Microsoft applications
