We’re looking for a hands-on Trade Marketing Specialist to join a leading wholesale business serving independent convenience retailers across Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG or retail environment and wants to take ownership of multi-channel marketing activity that directly supports sales growth, supplier partnerships, and customer engagement.
The Role
This is a broad and dynamic marketing position where no two days are the same. You’ll lead the planning and delivery of trade marketing campaigns, supplier promotions, customer communications, and digital engagement initiatives which will help to strengthen brand presence both in depot and online.
Working closely with suppliers, sales teams, and retail customers, you’ll play a key role in shaping promotional activity and creating compelling content tailored to the independent retail market.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering trade marketing campaigns supporting promotions, supplier activity, and seasonal events
- Creating engaging printed and digital marketing materials including flyers, POS, posters, and social content
- Managing customer communications across email, social media, and digital channels
- Collaborating with suppliers on joint campaigns and co-branded activity
- Supporting growth and adoption of the company’s online ordering platform
- Ensuring consistent branding across all customer and supplier touchpoints
- Monitoring campaign performance and using insights to optimise future activity
- Supporting the sales team with presentations, promotional materials, and pitch decks
- Managing budgets and ensuring marketing activity aligns with commercial objectives
What We’re Looking For
- 3-6 years’ marketing experience, ideally within FMCG, wholesale, convenience retail, or a similar trade-focused environment
- Strong generalist marketing background across digital and print channels
- Excellent written communication and content creation skills
- Experience using Canva (Adobe Creative Suite advantageous)
- Ability to manage campaigns end-to-end with minimal supervision
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of promotional marketing
- Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills
This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of marketing activity within a well-established and growing business. You’ll have the autonomy to shape campaigns, build supplier relationships, and make a visible commercial impact in a role offering real variety and responsibility.
