PMO Lead – Transformation

I’m supporting our financial services client who is undergoing a major transformation to deliver a next-generation banking platform, and they’re looking for an experienced TMO / PMO Lead to join them on a contract basis.

This is a high-impact position leading the Transformation Management Office (TMO) for a flagship programme, ensuring strong governance, control, and delivery oversight across a complex, multi-workstream environment.

This role inside IR35 (Umbrella)
14 months initial duration
The role is remote working, primarily with the need to be on-site 4 days per month

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading the TMO function, setting standards and driving high performance
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the Programme Director
  • Owning governance, reporting, RAID, planning, and change control
  • Providing constructive challenge to ensure delivery stays on track
  • Managing programme-level reporting for SteerCo and Board forums
  • Driving alignment across internal teams and external SI partners

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven TMO/PMO leadership experience in large-scale transformation programmes
  • Strong background in governance, controls, and programme reporting
  • Experience in financial services / regulated environments (highly desirable)
  • Expertise across integrated planning, RAID, dependencies, and change control
  • Confident stakeholder manager, able to influence at a senior level

Communication Advisors

In addition, to be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven background in account handling and direct client liaison – 4 years’ minimum
  • Experience in an agency setting focusing on B2B communication or PR
  • Strong communications skills, verbal and written
  • A background in delivering creative, digitally led B2B communications such as LinkedIn campaigns
  • An innate understanding of earned media, with the ability to create stories and generate coverage across traditional media, digital and social
  • Experience working on content management programmes, with an awareness of the changing way business audiences consume information and an appreciation of search, paid and wider customer marketing activity, and how it all fits together
  • A history of working with clients in a variety of sectors is welcomed but experience in the tech and energy industries is advantageous.

  • Experience in Energy, Renewables, Financial Services or Life Sciences would be very desirable
  • Outstanding writing skills and the ability to engage and excite an audience
  • An impressive track record of client attraction, retention and growth 
  • The ability to thrive fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong influencing and leadership skills to motivate and inspire those around you
  • Excellent planning, evaluation and project management skills
  • To develop new processes, systems and ways of working to drive performance
