I’m currently partnering with our excellent SME financial services client to appoint an experienced PMO Manager to their Change Management Office (CMO). This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and driving enterprise-wide change.
This role is primarily remote working, with the need to attend the head office 1-2 days per month.
The Opportunity
- As PMO Manager, you’ll lead the Portfolio Management Office, driving best-in-class governance, reporting, and delivery standards across a complex change portfolio spanning IT, regulatory, and business transformation. You’ll act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives while maintaining robust control and oversight.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and developing a high-performing PMO team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Owning portfolio governance, reporting, and assurance frameworks
- Producing high-quality board and SLT reporting packs with clear, actionable insights
- Providing constructive challenge to senior stakeholders to drive better outcomes
- Ensuring effective portfolio prioritisation aligned to strategic goals
- Embedding and evolving change frameworks, tools, and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
What We’re Looking For
- Proven PMO leadership experience within financial services
- Strong people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
- Confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders professionally
- Demonstrable experience delivering across complex change portfolios
- Expertise in governance, assurance, and portfolio reporting at the board level
- Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and risk
- Advanced knowledge of PPM tools and the Microsoft suite
